About Us

The Ridge Podcast was created as a way to archive Appalachian stories for future generations. In its original form, Ethan Carter Edwards and Jeffrey “Luke” Watson published an episode each week interviewing local people. When Luke graduated high school and went to college, the podcast was put on pause. After a few months, Ethan started again by himself biweekly and changed to monthly when he started at Harvard. The Carroll News wrote a piece on us that can be read here: https://www.thecarrollnews.com/news/the-ridge-podcast-tackles-local-issues/article_1a53ffa4-adcd-11ee-b697-33cb28159acf.html.
