The Ridge Podcast was created by Ethan Carter Edwards and Jeffrey Luke Watson as a way to archive Appalachian stories for future generations. In its original form, Ethan and Luke published an episode each week interviewing local people. After Luke graduated and went to college, the podcast was put on pause. Ethan decided to start it up again and upload new episodes every other week. Jeffrey (Luke) Watson

Luke was a co-host on The Ridge Podcast from episodes one through seventy-two. His involvement was instrumental in forming the original idea, the scheduling of several hosts, and during the interview process. His contributions to the project will always be remembered and appreciated.
